I popped along to The Great British Craft Festival this weekend to top up my craft supplies, it was a last minute decision to go but I’m glad I did. It was a good venue and it was larger than I thought it would be. There were bargains to be had on cardstock and paper on the Ross Papercraft stand, there were some stunning sample pieces on the IndigoBlu stand and there was even a freebie from Hunkydory for everyone who attended!

Ok so I have a new Card Cover for you today, there are 2 versions, one with a swirly edge and one with a rectangle edge. It can make a really quick card, I just decorated the middle area in mine with some patterned paper, a sentiment and some twine :)

Is it possible you design a cardstand in the same look as the last lacy cards you made?

So, I have a Lattice Stand for you today which can be used to display your cards or other handmade creations. You can find the other version of this Stand here if you would like to have both.

Today’s Cut File comes in three pieces, you have an inside and outside layer which can be cut from heavier card to sandwich your lattice layer which will likely be cut from some lightweight card. The three pieces together will give you a decorative yet sturdy stand to hold your cards nice and steady.

Good Afternoon!

First off, I just wanted to let you know that I’m still working on answering your emails/messages regarding the new terms of use, I will do my very best to get back to you all :)

Ok so what’s today’s freebie? Well I’ve had my swirly files on my mind for a few weeks now so I’ve decided to revisit them and add a few more designs to the existing ones.

I have a new swirly corner set for you today, there is a corner design and a central medalion type shape too to complete the set. Of course the corners or medalion work just as well on their own and don’t have to be used together. I’ve added a backing/shadow layer to this set as I found it a little delicate so it adds some stability to the pieces and allows you to add a contrasting coloured edge too :)

I had a request for a save the date sentiment so I’ve added one of those today too :)

After I finished my card I wished I had threaded some ribbon through the medalion piece as I think it would make a great ribbon slider, maybe next time ;)
