Hello There!

I’ve been so excited today because Dallas is back! I’ve watched the first episode and I plan to watch the second one after this post is up, I love how many of the original cast are still in it. Also I found out today that 2 of my favourite ever TV shows are coming soon, Breaking Bad is back next month and although it is sad that it will be the last series I’m sure it will be great. Also Dexter will be back in September and I can’t wait to see how they handle what happened at the end of the last series.

So onto crafty stuff, I have a couple of Fathers day cards on the lead up to the day on Sunday, a bit late I know but better late than never! The male themed cut files can be used for Birthdays too so even if you have this years Fathers day card sorted these might still come in handy for you. Today I have tie cut files and a tie themed sentiment, I hope you like them :)

My sentiment was printed directly onto some patterned paper using the method I shared in this post to change the colour to blue. I cut several little ties which I popped onto my card in a curve to create a tie bunting/pennant look with twine bows at each end. A very simple card but I’m pleased with how it turned out.

Hiyah!!

I’ve kinda lost my mojo a bit lately and I’ve been looking for it everywhere but I just can’t find it ;) I figured I’d force myself to sit down and make a card to see if I could kick start some creativity and the easiest way to do that is to follow a sketch. I picked last weeks one from Card Patterns, I substituted the buttons for flowers to match my sentiment and as I didn’t want to cover my patterned paper too much, I used a piece of vellum for the semi-circle panel with my new border on top. Oh the flowers were made from the 6 petaled flower from my Flowers 2 set which I curled a little and stacked onto a brad then backed with some leaves from my Branches 1 set.
