Swirly Christmas Tree Suspension Card

Hiyah!

It’s been longer than normal since I posted as my parents have been visiting and when we get together we tend to shop ’til we drop! They have received their Christmas card from us now so I can share it with you now too :)

I cut my Swirly Trees from some glitter card then folded them in half and glued them together back to back, before I glued the first tree to the last tree I slid some thread through to the middle of the tree leaving some of the thread hanging out of the top and the bottom, I then glued the trees closed.  The thread needs to be sandwiched between the card base and the front layer with some red liner style strong tape, ensuring that it is nice and taut. Before I assembled my card I added some ribbon, jingle bells and a sentiment to my patterned paper card front, it is important to do this first if you like to hide your ribbon ends.

This is how it looks with the card fully open:

The 3D Tree can be folded flat to place your card into an envelope although it will need some coaxing back into shape by the recipient:

Snowman Circle

Good Morning!

I have another layered circle design for you to place onto a card base, it would look great on a square or circle card. This time it is a re-working of my Snowman Cut file made into one layer with a ring of Snowflakes around him, if you would like the original layered Snowman you can find him here.

I cut my Snowman from some white card and curved out the detail pieces on his hat and scarf. I glued my Snowman onto a layer of glitter snowflakes (the glitter also shows through his face and buttons) then onto the backing layer which I cut from some grey shimmer card. I glued some gems into the middle of each snowflake then I popped 3d foam pads all over the back and placed it onto my card base.

Again the photos don’t do it justice, I like to use lots of glittery/shiny products at Christmas and they are hard to pick up on camera but it really does twinkle :)

Santas Hat Circle

Good Morning!

I have a multi-layer card circle design for you to pop on the front of a circle or square card today. It has a Santa Hat in the middle and reads ‘Santa Claus is coming to town’ around the edge.

I went all red and white for may card today with some obligatory Christmas glitter and added 3d foam pads between some of the layers to add dimension.
