Flower Petal Envelope

Good Evening!

I have another invitation envelope for you today, I’ve used the same floral design as the flower gate-fold envelope and of course the flower bunting but this time I’ve made it into a petal envelope. I love these cut out designs as they allow you to peek through to whatever is held within :)

Your petal envelope will hold itself closed just by overlapping the flaps or petals but although it does hold closed it may have a slight curve outwards:

If you’d like your envelope to lie completely flat, simply tie a ribbon around it. It will only add to the anticipation when it is being opened ;)

Flower Envelope 1

Hi Guys!

I ventured onto Facebook yesterday…finally, I registered my account there a while ago but have been doing my best to avoid it. I’m not terribly sure of how it all works but I’ll pop something on there every time a new post has gone up on my blog, that’s the plan anyway ;)

I was sent an image of a floral gate-fold envelope a while back and was asked to re-create it but unfortunately I totally forgot about it, oops. Recently I came across the image on Pinterest here which reminded me of the request so I have made my own version of it incorporating my existing flower designs. In the end I went on to make 2 more envelopes using this floral idea but with different envelope styles so keep an eye out for those as they will be coming up soon :)

I cut my envelope from some lightweight card stock and threaded some narrow satin ribbon through the holes and tied it into a bow to hold the envelope closed:

An invite can slide into the envelope without disturbing the bow:

Lace Circle Frames 1

Hi There!

I have a lace circle for you today which completes the set I started a couple of weeks ago, you can find the lace square frame here and the lace border here. This set of lacey designs are more intricate than my previous cut files so I would recommend using a lightweight card for these (however I haven’t attempted them on anything thicker so it might be fine).

I used my Zing to cut a 6 inch circle card then cut my lacey frame at 5.6 inches. I typed the first part of my sentiment and cut ribbon edges into the card, I cut the word Birthday and coloured with Copics to match my patterned paper then glued to the bottom edge of the white card piece. I shaped some vellum flowers 3 with an embossing stylus and popped a flat backed pearl into the middles.

I used lots of 3d foam tape between the layers to add dimension:
