Love Cube

Hello!

I have a love word element for you today that can be used on your Valentines Day cards and projects.

I cut my word large enough to almost fill the front of my card, it makes for a simple card layout but the detail in the font adds some interest.

I have another Valentines Card for you, there seem to be many names for this type of fold but I’ve picked double gatefold to describe it. The image you can see when the card is closed is I heart/love U but when you open the card you see that the design is actually made up of 2 separate designs which come together. It is quite a straight forward card fold but people do love to open and close it over and over so it’s likely to be well received.

I picked some paper from s.e.i for my card and added a white panel inside so my message would stand out when the card is closed then cut my small heart from some matching plain cardstock, easy peasy :)

Valentine Background Set

Hi Guys!

I have another set of background files including another of the mix and match card and sentiment files, this time it is a Valentines Day set full of hearts. I think today’s set would work particularly well as a mix and match with the Retro Rose set if you’d like to change either the sentiment or the background pattern.

I chose not to add a layer behind the hearts on my card base as I love to see through the cut outs and the shadows they cast but it looks just as nice with a contrasting colour peeking through the design, I always have the same dilemma with this style of card. I did want the pop of colour behind my sentiment panel though especially as it is a Valentines Day card and there has to be some red or pink, right?
