It’s a Cracker!

Hiyah!

Today I bring you a Cut File with a set of Christmas Crackers, you get a  choice of 3 different edges, a straight edge, a zig-zag edge and a scalloped edge. I also have the straight edge and zig-zag edge versions for you as templates, simply print onto the reverse side of your chosen paper and cut along the solid lines with your scissors or craft knife and fold along the dashed lines. You could fill them with wrapped chocolates or you could personalise each Cracker with a name on the outside and a stocking filler inside, anything goes really…as long as it fits inside ;)

I chose the scalloped edge version for my Cracker today, the paper I picked was very thin so I also cut a card layer to make the finished Cracker much more sturdy. I folded all of the score lines (dashed lines) then rolled up the Cracker and overlapped one of the sections and stuck into place with double sided tape, this leaves you with a Hexagonal (6 sided) Cracker. I cut a couple of Snowflakes from here and here, I covered one with glitter then layered with 3D foam pads and added some gems and popped onto the middle of the Cracker. While I had the glitter out I added a strip of double sided tape to the ends of the Cracker just inside the scallops and covered with the clear glitter. I closed the ends up with some seam binding and tied into a bow then added some more gems because you can’t have too much glitter or sparkle at Christmas.

Winter Bendy Card & Christmas Corners

Hi Guys!

Yes, I have yet another bendy card for you today but in my defense I have had this one planned for quite a while and I promise I won’t make any more in a rush…well maybe a New Year version…and then there’s Valentines Day, lol.

I had a request for some decorative corners so I’ve made some Christmas-y ones for you today, there is one with a Snowflake that matches today’s Winter Bendy Card and one with Holly that matches the Seasons Greetings Bendy Card. The idea is that you can use the Christmas Corners on their own or with the middle panels from the bendy cards for a completely different look just as I have done today for my card. I hope you like them :)

Scandinavian Hearts

Good Afternoon!

I saw this cute string of Christmas lights in Ikea when I was there with my Mum recently:

I loved the idea of the interlocking hearts from U shapes and looked them up on Google, I’ve since found out that these are a Scandinavian Christmas Tradition and that they can be made into little baskets to hold treats and hung on the tree. I have made a selection of these hearts for you today, there are 3 different designs. I have given you the double ended version in each design to weave together and make the little baskets, I have found a video showing how to do the weaving for the basket here. I have also included each of the 3 designs in a single ended version and added a backing layer so they may be turned into tags as I have done in my example below :)

I cut my tag front twice, once in red glitter card and once in white. I wove my pieces together and glued the ends in place, I cut a backing layer from some white card and glued to the back of my woven heart which gave it some stability and helped to hold the pieces together. The white backing layer gives you a lovely smooth surface to write your message on, all I needed to do then was popping in an eyelet and threading with some organza ribbon.
