Free Digital Sentiments, Project Ideas

Worlds Greatest Dad – First Posted: Friday, May 27, 2011

Boo!

I know I know, 2 posts in as many days, yes I am feeling ok! ha ha.

I have another Fathers day card for you today and a circle sentiment digi, I think this digi would work just as well for birthdays so I’ve included one for Mum too.

I used my circle sentiment as a rosette center, the rosette is attached to the card with a safety pin so it can be removed and worn. I printed the sentiment onto some textured card stock then cut out with a circle die, I cut an extra layer of thick card to attach underneath it to prevent warping then covered it with some clear gloss liquid to make it nice and shiny.

Time for another Cut File! – First Posted: Thursday, May 26, 2011

Hello!

I’ve just watched the final of The Biggest Loser and I’m so pleased with the result, they really deserve it, it’s ok you won’t find any spoilers here. The only problem is…what am I going to use as the inspiration to get my bum on the exercise bike now? he he

Anyhoo – I have a new cut file today for those of you with electronic cutting machines, it’s a set of scalloped borders complete with matting layers (shown in pink), I hope you like them! I have some more cutting files all done which I’ll be posting soon but I’m always open for some suggestions if there is anything you would like to see. I’m no expert at this but creating cut files is helping me to learn how to use Illustrator so if I can figure out how to do it, I may just give it a go.

I used one of the new scalloped borders for my card today along with one of my fave flower digis, you can find this Carnation digi stamp in the flower section. I printed it first in green and coloured then printed another in red which I coloured and cut out the petals only to layer over the top with foam pads to add dimension. I had my first go at making my own paper buttons today too so they matched my backing paper, they took a fair bit of time but they do look great when they’re dried and glossy like real buttons.

snow dog – First Posted: Monday, May 23, 2011

Good Afternoon,

I have a digi and card I made for a family members birthday to post today, it’s a picture of her dog playing in the snow and running around with a snowball in his mouth. He’s a gorgeous dog and I hope I did him justice :) I stuck with the snow theme for my picture but it could easily be coloured to look like a dog playing on a beach in the water or on grass with a ball in his mouth too. I followed another sketch for my card and realise just how much time I normally spend agonising over my layout, maybe it’s something that comes with time.
