Baby Card + Digi – First Posted: Wednesday, March 17, 2010

Todays digital stamp is a rocking horse, I made this a few weeks ago as I needed an image for an impending arrival but not knowing what it would be I had a pink colour scheme and also a blue colour scheme planned, it turned out I needed the blue one :)

I turned my digi brown and printed it onto white card then coloured with prismas and oms. I threw several spellbinders dies at this card, the one worth mentioning is the border die I used behind the blue ribbons which is actually a snowflake die but as the little cut out snowflakes are hidden behind the ribbons, who would know? I like to use my stash in as many ways as I can. I backed my image with some blue and white spotty paper, added a dash or two of ribbon and a couple of pearl gems.

Carnations Digital Stamp + Card – First Posted: Tuesday, March 16, 2010

The weather here is really starting to warm up and brighten up which means that it must finally be spring. Its funny how a lift in the weather can lift ones spirits, it must be all of the newly sprung flowers. Talking of flowers, I have another floral digi for you today, this time I wanted to tackle Carnations.

My image is colured with prismas, I used a french grey behind the image instead of my usual blue. My image is framed with one of the new spellbinders border dies which I laced together with my sentiment using some 1/4 inch ribbon and doused a butterfly die cut with glitter.

Mothers Day Card – First Posted: Monday, March 15, 2010

It was Mothers Day here in the UK yesterday and have been saving making a flower pot card just for it, flower pot cards just scream Mothers Day to me. I followed Beate’s tutorial which you can find here, I love her tutorials they are so clear and easy to follow and this card is just the same in fact it came together in no time at all.

I wanted my card to be nice and bright so I picked some zingy pink and green cardstock. My flowers came from 2 extra dies in a Cuttlebug alphabet set and the fern is a sizzix sizzlit, I only had pale pink snaps for the flower centers so I used a couple of bright pink eyelets too. Also I used a scalloped long rectangle die from spellbinders to add the scallop to the pot rim and tied a 1/2 inch pink ribbon round it.
