Gingham Brights Paper Pack – First Posted: Monday, April 26, 2010

Hello, I’ve a brights pack of Gingham papers today and a cute little post-it note & pen holder I made with one of the 10 colours. One thing I found while playing with this paper pack is that it’s best (with my printer at least) to leave the printer settings on my regular settings for text and copy paper to keep the colours bright as the more saturated the colour gets, the darker the shade.

I found my post-it notes and mini gel pens in my local pound shop, I got 4 thick post-it note pads for my pound and a pack of 15 pens, got to love a bargain! One of the post-it notes pads were green so I chose the lime green paper from the gingham pack to match.

The green card stock measures 7 1/2 x 3 1/4, scored at 3 1/2, 3 7/8 & 4 1/4. Cut between the outer 2 score lines at 3/4, 1 1/8, 2 1/8 & 2 1/2 with a paper trimmer or craft knife. Fold your score lines and make the smaller of the large panels the front face, popping up the sections to hold the pen as shown in the picture you can use some strong tape to hold down the other sections that lie behiond the pen. The frame on the front was made by combining a spellbinders scallop circle die with an inverted scallop circle die.

Free Digital Sentiments

A day to remember – First Posted: Friday, April 23, 2010

I’ve just watched the final of Project Runway (don’t worry, you won’t get any spoilers from me) and I’m so pleased with the result because the person who I have been rooting for all season won. I absolutely loved all of their designs throughout the competition, they really appealed to me.

I had a request for more generic sentiments in frames so here’s one for you and I’ll do some more soon, also I have another pack of papers in the pipeline and then I’ll get back to some digi stamps, it’s all go.

I printed todays sentiment in blue and cut with a spellbinders square die then layered with some blue card squares and incorporated 2 fancy tags which I cris crossed. I used a border stamp set from Technique Tuesday to form a frame on my backing sheet and embossed in white then punched 2 ribbon slots with a Tonic ribbon punch and laced in some white ribbon.

Gingham Papers – First Posted: Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Hello! It’s a lovely bright day here, I hope you are experiencing the same wherever you are.

I have a new pack of papers for you today which is a set of 10 Pastel Ginghams and I chose the purple gingham paper for my DVD envelope today. I have done some experimenting with printing these papers and if you leave your printer settings to a text & copy paper setting they will come out with a lovely subtle and pale shade but if you change your printer settings to an image setting it will come out a shade darker which I did here.

There is a video showing how I make my cd/dvd envelopes and the Template I use. I used a 8 x 1 1/8 inch strip of co-ordinting purple card stock wrapped around the filled envelope then stuck with tape to make my belly band. I tied a bow in some white twill over it and added a little tag made from spellbinders petite ovals and an eyelet which is threaded through my bow with some ribbon. I think it makes sending a disc to someone a little bit more special.
