Tutorial

a much requested tutorial – First Posted: Saturday, August 28, 2010

I have a much requested tutorial for you today.

I have had many emails and questions regarding how I alter my digis, I often use photoshop to change the colour of my digis but I realise that not many people have it so I have made a pdf tutorial on how you can use Word to change the colour and size of your digi stamps and also how you can add text to your digis too. I am not the worlds expert at computer related things so I hope I have explained the steps clearly enough and it is easy for you to follow, I have used large screen shots and highlighted all of the steps I took along with instructions. I am hoping that you will be able to follow it even if you are a complete computer novice so you all can get the most out of your digi stamps.

Daisy Card + Celtic Tag cut file – First Posted: Monday, July 05, 2010

Good Morning,

I have a new cut file for you today, I know I am just one of a great many people who adore Spellbinders ribbon tags especially their fancy tags and wanted to try to make something along the same kind of lines. My first couple have a celtic knot feel to them but I think they could go with any theme and can be stuck directly onto your project (as I have here with glue dots) or you can thread ribbon through the ends. I hope you like it.

I’ve gone all Orange for todays card which is a colour I don’t ordinarily go for but as I’m still trying to use more colour in my cardmaking I thought it would be a good choice although I tried my best not to go too wacky with this one. I used a Sugar Nellie stamp of a girl making daisy chains and coloured with prisma pencils and oms then cut it out with a circle die and matted it with cream card. My top layer is made up of more of the same cream card, the loopy border cut file and some orange daisy Dovecraft patterned paper which matched the image rather well. The lower layer is cream card and some red/orange texture effect paper from Anitas. I added some bright orange ribbon and tied a bow then coloured a Prima flower with markers to match the colour scheme and popped on top of the bow. Lastly I cut my celtic tag, stamped my sentiment and attached with glue dots.

Card + more furniture digis & a new cut file – First Posted: Wednesday, June 30, 2010

hey hey!

yup, I’m still alive. Things have been a bit mad around here, lots going on and not feeling great hasn’t left alot of time for crafting/creating but I have a few bits for you today. I have some bedroom digis to add to the furniture section and a loopy border cut file to match the loopy frame I popped up last time.

Ok, I don’t quite know what I was thinking when I chose the lime green and purple colour scheme, only that I wanted to do something a bit more colourful. I may have succeeded with creating a more colourful card but I question my taste level on this one, lol. I coloured my image with markers and pencils and added some paper piecing and used more of the same paper on the layer behind the image. I trimmed the layer with the loopy border from the cut file in black and added some black twill ribbon attached with square snaps above a purple layer.
