Pleated Ribbon Flowers, Card + Tag – First Posted: Wednesday, November 03, 2010

Good Morning,

I don’t know if you saw this tutorial by Maya Road on their blog but I love these little pleated ribbon flowers they made and I thought aha! I can make those as I used to make Rosettes and have some very similar pleated ribbon in my stash. I showed the tutorial to my Mum and she thought that they might look a little more ‘flower like’ without the button if the ribbon went right through to the middle, so armed with my trusty hot glue gun I gave both a try. See what you think.

You know, although I like both, I think Mum had a point about them looking more ‘flower like’ without the button. So Mums birthday came round and guess which one I used on her card.

Free Digital Sentiments

Well hello there,

Yep, I’m back and hope you are all well. I’ve actually been back for a bit but I have been sorting through my crafting stash and giving it a good tidy, it really needed it! I don’t have a permanent craft area, I set up a folding table in my living room so as you can imagine it often gets put away in a hurry but now its nearly done and soon I’ll be raring to go card making crazy.

I have a sentiment for you today that I used on a birthday card for my fella this year, the image is clip art I found on the internet which I coloured with my prismas and the backing paper is from my cloud paper download. As this is a mans card I didn’t want to add any ribbon, it is hard to make a card without ribbon but I managed to hold myself back.

Free Digital Cutting Files

card + 2 cut files – First Posted: Tuesday, August 31, 2010

Good Afternoon,

I have 2 tag cut files for you today, they have the same design but you have the choice of single ended or double ended and can be attached to your projects with brads or ribbons. I hope you like them.

I popped an eyelet into the single ended tag I used on my card then threaded some ribbon through it, I also added 2 layers of spellbinders square die cuts with my sentiment and some pearls to finish. I printed the blue birds small checks paper onto some cream cardstock for my background layer to match the basic grey paper I chose. The girl in the bonnet in this Sarah Kay image reminded me of little red riding hood and I coloured her with prismacolor pencils with that in mind.
