Good Evening!
I’m posting a KnK Design Team project here in case you didn’t see it at the time over at the Team KnK blog and also to include the cut file into my archive.
I have a Birthday Card for you today, the Happy Birthday sentiment protrudes diagonally from the card base layers. The design is a simple one but it can easily be decorated to suit different recipients. I have decorated the card in 3 different ways today, one card is more masculine, one card is more feminine and the card I show in the assembly photos is more suitable for a young girl.
Pic 1. Below are the pieces you will find within the cut file folder, I cut my card base pieces from some pink card and chose some fun patterned paper for the layering pieces:
Pic 2. The patterned pieces are adhered directly to the card base pieces:
Pic 3. Turn the front panel over and add 3d foam pads to the back, I found 2 layers of foam pads worked best:
Pic 4. Pop your front panel into place, you are now free to decorate as you wish:
My Completed Card: I lined the inside of my card with more of the patterned paper. Carrying on the Butterfly theme of the paper, I cut a few of these butterflies to embellish my card then popped on a few gems:
Alternative Card 1: For my second card I cut the card base from some white card, I chose some subtle white and green patterned paper then added a strip of green glitter card:
Alternative Card 2: For my third card I simply cut the card base from some kraft coloured card and added some natural coloured twine to the front panel before I stuck it down to my card base:
