Festive Tree Week – Day 2 – First Posted: Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Here’s the second of this weeks festive tree digis. I made this one with paper piecing in mind although you could just as easily colour it in with markers or pencils etc.

I sized my image to 5 inches in Word and printed it onto 3 different patterned papers from the same pack (so I knew that they would work together). I used one as the base and cut the other 2 into pieces, I aged all pieces with brown ink and stuck them down with a glue stick. I cut some of the left over paper into the pot, star and scallop punch embellishment and added some co-ordinating buttons.

Festive Tree Week – Day 1 – First Posted: Monday, October 19, 2009

Here’s the first of 7 Festive Tree Digital Stamps that I will be posting this week, I hope that you will be able to find something that you like amongst them.

I changed the colour of my digi and sentiment in photoshop, I turned them into a sandy shade which tones well with the gold in the card.  I copy and pasted my trees to ensure that they were the exact size, added some brads and glittery matting. I embossed the white backgroud card stock with Fiskars snowflakes texture plate in the big shot, I cut my sentiment out with an oval punch added a scallop punch out and some high shine ribbon for a Christmas-ey feel and a ton of dimensional foam pads.

Butterfly Shaped Card – First Posted: Saturday, October 17, 2009

I made this shaped card using the largest die from Spellbinders Shapeabilities Nested Butterfly set which I found on sale. I folded my card and gave it a good press on the crease then put it into my big shot with a tiny bit of the crease inside the left wing edges to form my shaped card. I ran some patterned paper through and cut and embossed it and stuck it to the card stock adding some buttons and scrap paper for antennae. A quick and easy card perfect for a little girls birthday.
