Festive Tree Week – Day 5 – First Posted: Friday, October 23, 2009

I knew I would create a pink tree at some point when I first saw that pink star button, it just had to be done!

I laced all of the buttons with some silver cord, placed them in a random(ish) fashion over the tree and stuck them on with mini foam pads. The tree stand was made from a piece of silver card stock covered with some wide pink ribbon and some sticky gems were added. The domed sticker sentiment was added to some sizzix mini tags and held in place with a brad.

Festive Tree Week – Day 4 – First Posted: Thursday, October 22, 2009

Ok, onto to Day 4 of Festive Tree Week:

For todays example I wanted to see if I could use a traditional Christmas Tree shape in a less Christmas-ey way. I used the terracota pot, leaf and bird stamps from the See D’s Morsels stamp sets – Springtime Collection. And to give the Tag a bit more of an Autumnal feel I added some brown ribbon and lacing, backed it onto brown card stock and finished with a yellow button.

Festive Tree Week – Day 3 – First Posted: Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Well I hope you guys are enjoying Festive Tree Week and you will find an image or two that appeals to you. I’ve been enjoying the challenge of using 7 relatively similar digis in different ways as examples of how they can be used. I had some in mind when I made the images but some I’m having to do on the fly and it’s kinda cool so I’m sure I’ll do this ‘week of’ idea again :)

I wanted to create a forest type scene for todays card by staggering the digi in differing sizes, I used photoshop for this. I ran some vellum through my big shot embossing it with the snowflakes fiskars texture plate and attached it to the front of my image with brads to make it look like it is snowing where the trees are. I stamped my sentiment onto a tag and layered a vellum tag over to match and popped it under one of the brads and added some ribbon, glitter and fibers to add to the pale snow-ey effect.
