Engagement Card – First Posted: Sunday, December 06, 2009

I cut a circle from a black card blank and cut a slightly larger one from a piece of white card stock which I later used for the gift tag then I embossed the white card stock with the hearts fiskars texture plate in my big shot.

I printed my sentiment onto some white card stock and cut out with a spellbinders ribbon tag and backed with layers of sticky foam pads and the smaller die cuts from some spellbinders pendants sets. I attached the sentiment to the white card with some fancy edged ribbon and added a bow.

I heat stamped 2 hearts, one in black foam and one in white foam, cut them out and attached to the inside of the card central to the cut out circles so they show through when the card is closed.

I used the circle cut outs with another spellbinders ribbon tag and die cuts with some 1/2 inch black ribbon to make the matching gift tag.

Vintage Cracked Glass Christmas Card – First Posted: Saturday, November 28, 2009

To make the cracked glass effect panel I stamped my image onto some white card and coloured it in with markers, covered the entire surface with a clear ink pad and added a few layers of UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) which is like clear embossing powder except with larger granules. When the UTEE has cooled you can crack it in different directions and rub some distressing ink into the cracks to add a vintage feeling to it and to add definition to the cracks.

Round Pudding Card – First Posted: Sunday, November 22, 2009

I cut out 2 circles of card stock measuring approximately 5.5 inches with my compass cutter.

I covered one with brown card then free hand drew the drips for the top section on a separate piece of white card and cut that out and attached. I added some glue and glitter over the white top section and added some brown and black small circles from hand punches to the brown section to represent the dried fruit in the pudding. I used the holy digi stamp which I coloured green and printed onto green card, cut out and attached with sticky foam pads.

The last step is to join the two circles together with a brad to form a card that twists open.
