First Card of 2010 – First Posted: Sunday, January 10, 2010

yay, I made a card, the card-makers block is over :)

I used the love oval digi which I changed to a bright pink colour in photoshop, sized to 3.5 inches in Word and printed onto pale pink textured card stock. I coloured in the flourish around the L and the stripe around the edge with markers then attached it to my card base with sticky foam pads. My card base is a patterned tall card which I cut down to make 2 smaller cards which measure approximately 4 x 4.5 inches each. To finish, I formed a bow in my ribbon using a square snap and added 2 punched out and sponged hearts to my oval and a dash of glitter to both.

Bodice cards 3 & 4 – First Posted: Wednesday, December 30, 2009

I hope you all had a great Christmas, I had a lovely one and was thoroughly spoiled by my family as I have some new crafting pressies to play with including a big bite, glue gun, brad making kit, some spellbinders etc and a smart new digital camera to take my pictures with.

These are 2 more cards I made with the bodice digi which couldn’t be more different from each other.

I layered some vellum with a small daisies print with some white lace onto my card blank and held them in place with some brads. I printed my bodice onto some white embossed paper and cut a long skirt from some patterned vellum and added some detail on the bottom edge with some wiggely (highly techinical term there!) scissors. I added a ribbon for a belt and more for straps and some flat backed pearls on the top part of the bodice. The bouquet was made from more ribbon and some flower shaped sequins and mini gems.

I layered different shades of purple card stock with some purple vellum which I embossed with my lace texture plate and trimmed the layer and sentiment with some small sections from spellbinders pendants. My bodice is made from some black card stock which I stamped repeatedly with a floral stamp and embossed with black embossing powder. I added some ribbon which I ruffled and more for straps and finished with some gems and brads.
