Changing skies – First Posted: Wednesday, February 10, 2010

I wanted to play with my new prismacolor pencils so I decided to use a silhouette flower stamp and create 3 different skies for 3 different times of day: midday, sunset and twilight. I stamped the flowers onto some white card stock and roughly coloured over the area with varying shades of pencils, I dipped a cottonbud into the sansodor and swiped it across the image sideways blending the pencils.

card + digi – First Posted: Tuesday, February 09, 2010

I’ve called todays digital stamp ‘heart air balloon’, yep it’s probably not that funny but I chuckled to myself.

I printed my image twice, I coloured the balloon and basket with pencils on one of images and cut them out. I shaped the cardstock on the second image with a spellbinders die and shaded in the background with a very pale blue, you may not be able to see it too well though in the photo. I hand cut some cloud like shapes and attached them with 3D foam pads along with the coloured balloon and basket to add some dimension. I used some dowloaded patterned paper from a great site called ShabbyPrincess.com you can find the paper here and added the obligatory ribbon to finish.

Our love keeps on growing – First Posted: Monday, February 08, 2010

I’ve made a valentine’s day card with todays digis, my sentiment on the inside reads “Our love keeps on growing”. I changed the colour of my tree to brown and my grass to green and printed them out. I coloured in my grass with pencils and punched out lots of small hearts and sponged them with pink ink. I made a little basket by punching an oval of brown card which I embossed with a basket weave pattern trimmed to the shape I wanted and added a handle with some spare card and a circle punch, I sponged both pieces with some brown ink and stuck them together. I carefully cut around some of the grass with a craft knife and tucked my basket behind it and filled with some of the hearts. I stuck the rest of the hearts to my tree with a couple on foam pads to add some dimesion and finished with a scalloped edge, some ribbon and a little heart button.
