card + digis – First Posted: Tuesday, February 23, 2010

I adapted on of my existing stamps for todays card, I took my rose digital stamp and added some leaves to it which I think will make it a little easier to use. I’ll pop the leaves up on their own too in case they can be of some use to you.

I printed my image 3 times onto white card stock and coloured with prismacolor pencils then cut each piece smaller than the next and layered with sticky foam pads to create a 3-d flower. I framed the image with oval spellbinders and used an ornare stencil to create the embossed and pierced elements.

May you have many Mower! – First Posted: Friday, February 19, 2010

The inside of todays card read “May you have many Mower!”.

I printed my image onto white card stock and coloured with pencils, I used a die to cut my rectangle and sponged the outter edges of the image with blue ink before removing the die to create a white border. I typed my sentiments onto white card for the ribbon tag and directly onto the inside of the base card and finished with some 1/2 inch ribbon, a button and some round snaps.

Spring card + digi – First Posted: Thursday, February 18, 2010

Just when I thought Spring had sprung we go and get a big ‘ole downpour of snow! Well, I can’t do anything about the weather but maybe a cheery spring card will lift the spirits a little.

The frame of todays card was made with an ornare template, I pricked all of the holes then popped it into my big shot to emboss it, I’m not sure that this was the best thing to do as it flattened the pierced holes a bit so I’ll probably do it with a stylus in future. I sliced along some of the holes with a craft knife to slide my ribbon across the bottom which was doubled up 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch shades of yellow to match the card stock. I colored my image with prismacolor pencils and added some gems to the piercing pattern. Hope it brightens your day a tad.
