birdhouse digi & digi combo – First Posted: Monday, March 29, 2010

Good Morning, I hope you are all in good spirits.

Todays digi is a birdhouse, I made a little digi combo for my card and I’ve included that too in case you don’t have photoshop and can’t combine images yourself.

This post has been ready for a day or two but I was reluctant to post it as I wasn’t very happy with my card. I do see the whole card making thing as a bit of a learning curve and I realise that I’m not going to be 100% happy with every card I make and it will take a while for me to settle into my own style. I just have to stop fretting about this one and move on to the next. Yep, onwards and upwards, lol.

A spring card and matching digital stamp – First Posted: Friday, February 26, 2010

I’m keeping with the bright spring colours for todays card which features a pink tipped yellow rose and several different shades of yellow to brighten up your day.

I sized my digi to 3.5 inches in Word so it would fit inside a spellbinders circle die and coloured it with some yellow and pink prismas. I cut 2 large circles with a compass cutter and embossed one with a super stencil, I layered them onto some yellow card and the yellow page from the small checks paper pack in yesterdays post. I rounded my corners and added some 1/2 inch lemon ribbon to finish.

A brand new kind of freebie!!! – First Posted: Thursday, February 25, 2010

Your freebies today are:

1. a digital stamp

2. a sentiment oval

and……..

3. my very first patterned papers!

I’ve made a Mothers Day easel card today as Mothering Sunday is coming soon in the UK. I coloured my Crocus image with prismas and layered with spellbinders fleur de lis border die by mitering the corners and layered with the purple paper from my small check paper pack (below) and some purple card stock. The lower panel is made from the same purple cardstock and spellbinder border die and the green paper from my small check paper pack. I printed my sentiment onto the purple patterned paper and punched it out with an oval punch and layered onto a die from spellbinders floral accents, I added an eyelet to each die cut and threaded a 1 inch ribbon through.

This is the first time I’ve done papers so I really would love to hear what you guys think about it, if you find them useful and if you would like to see more papers in the future so please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I keep using up the check patterns from paper packs first and have been running out so I created these out of necessity initially but of course I had to share them with you. The papers are A4/letter size, there are 7 pastel colours and the size of the check pattern is small to suit card making. I hope you like them.
