Stained Glass Digi + Card – First Posted: Thursday, March 04, 2010

I’d like to start today by thanking everyone for the lovely comments that you have left over the last few days, they mean alot to me. There have been times where it’s been quiet around here and during those times it is difficult to tell if I am on the right track or not so it really helps to give me an indication of what you like and would like to see more of.

I have gone for a stained glass window effect with todays digi, I am quite pleased with how it turned out and no doubt I will be making a few more stained glass digis in the near future. I printed my image onto card stock and coloured with pencils and OMS but I’m tempted to see how I can make them work with acetate and vellum now.

Card and Digi – First Posted: Wednesday, March 03, 201

Todays digi is a vase of Tulips, I coloured mine a pink-y purple but you could easily colour yours yellow for an especially springtime feel. I used Prismacolor and Derwent Pencils and Sansodor and chose another colour from my small checks paper pack as my backing paper. I threaded some wide ribbon through slots formed with the large Tonic ribbon weave punch and border system and used the Spellbinder Lattice Border behind the ribbon.

A Digi by request & card – First Posted: Tuesday, March 02, 2010

I had this comment left on Sunday :

I love all your images but I lost my little Westie (West Highland Terrier) last year and would love if you could draw a Westie as a digital image please. Susan.

How could I refuse? I haven’t done a dog before and the prospect of tackling fur was a bit daunting but I hope I’ve managed to pull it off and that you like it Susan.

I printed my image onto white card stock and coloured the background with ultramarine and terracota prismas, I added a little shading to the fur but left the majority as a Westie is white then coloured in the ears, eyes and nose. I framed the image using Spellbinders labels four and layered my sentiment which you can find here with spellbinders ovals, fleur de lis & In Spades pendants. The patterned paper is from my small checks paper pack pdf and finally I finished off the card with some matching 1/4 and 1/2 inch ribbons.
