Free Digital Sentiments

A day to remember – First Posted: Friday, April 23, 2010

I’ve just watched the final of Project Runway (don’t worry, you won’t get any spoilers from me) and I’m so pleased with the result because the person who I have been rooting for all season won. I absolutely loved all of their designs throughout the competition, they really appealed to me.

I had a request for more generic sentiments in frames so here’s one for you and I’ll do some more soon, also I have another pack of papers in the pipeline and then I’ll get back to some digi stamps, it’s all go.

I printed todays sentiment in blue and cut with a spellbinders square die then layered with some blue card squares and incorporated 2 fancy tags which I cris crossed. I used a border stamp set from Technique Tuesday to form a frame on my backing sheet and embossed in white then punched 2 ribbon slots with a Tonic ribbon punch and laced in some white ribbon.

Gingham Papers – First Posted: Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Hello! It’s a lovely bright day here, I hope you are experiencing the same wherever you are.

I have a new pack of papers for you today which is a set of 10 Pastel Ginghams and I chose the purple gingham paper for my DVD envelope today. I have done some experimenting with printing these papers and if you leave your printer settings to a text & copy paper setting they will come out with a lovely subtle and pale shade but if you change your printer settings to an image setting it will come out a shade darker which I did here.

There is a video showing how I make my cd/dvd envelopes and the Template I use. I used a 8 x 1 1/8 inch strip of co-ordinting purple card stock wrapped around the filled envelope then stuck with tape to make my belly band. I tied a bow in some white twill over it and added a little tag made from spellbinders petite ovals and an eyelet which is threaded through my bow with some ribbon. I think it makes sending a disc to someone a little bit more special.

Another requested digi + card – First Posted: Sunday, April 18, 2010

Good Evening!

I’ve had Poppies on my ‘to do’ list for a while and I have received a few requests for them lately so here you are.

I wanted a really intense colour for my Poppies so I colured them with Promarkers then went over with my Prismas, it gave a nice saturated look so I stopped there and didn’t use any OMS this time and opted not to use a background colour behind the flowers as I normally would. I typed my sentiment directly onto my card base, matted my image with some red card and popped it onto my white card with some 3D foam pads for a simple and minimalist look.
