A request and related digis + Card – First Posted: Friday, April 30, 2010

I had a request for a bath tub but once I did the bath I decided that it need a mirror, I made a little sentiment using the mirror frame by turning it sideways then constructed a bathroom scene for my card which I’ve added in case anyone would like to use it. I even decorated the inside of my card, I keep meaning to do and I really should do this more often as it certainly adds to the overall affect.

I printed my bathroom scene 3.5″ widthways in Word and coloured with prismas then cut out the middle of the mirror with a craft knife and placed some mirror card behind the hole. I layered my image with some black card stock and paper from an Anita’s pack and added a spellbinders border and black ribbon. The inside is simply a strip of the same paper and the sentiment backed with black card, both which had been die cut.

Circle Sentiments & Circle Card – First Posted: Wednesday, April 28, 2010

I’ve made a circle card today by layering Spellbinders circle die cuts and their Lotus Pendant die which I’ve been itching to use since I got it. I changed the best wishes circle sentiment to a bright pink, printed it then cut it out with another spellbinders circle die and popped some mini black gems into the middle of the little flowers.

Gingham Brights Paper Pack – First Posted: Monday, April 26, 2010

Hello, I’ve a brights pack of Gingham papers today and a cute little post-it note & pen holder I made with one of the 10 colours. One thing I found while playing with this paper pack is that it’s best (with my printer at least) to leave the printer settings on my regular settings for text and copy paper to keep the colours bright as the more saturated the colour gets, the darker the shade.

I found my post-it notes and mini gel pens in my local pound shop, I got 4 thick post-it note pads for my pound and a pack of 15 pens, got to love a bargain! One of the post-it notes pads were green so I chose the lime green paper from the gingham pack to match.

The green card stock measures 7 1/2 x 3 1/4, scored at 3 1/2, 3 7/8 & 4 1/4. Cut between the outer 2 score lines at 3/4, 1 1/8, 2 1/8 & 2 1/2 with a paper trimmer or craft knife. Fold your score lines and make the smaller of the large panels the front face, popping up the sections to hold the pen as shown in the picture you can use some strong tape to hold down the other sections that lie behiond the pen. The frame on the front was made by combining a spellbinders scallop circle die with an inverted scallop circle die.
