Card + Digital Stamp + Cut file set – First Posted: Wednesday, April 06, 2011

Hi there!

I have a digital stamp for you today which I hope will be useful for your Spring/Easter projects and I have another set of labels, yes another set! …and I have a few more label sets to share with you in future projects too so I hope you don’t tire of them.

My digi stamp is a Jug of Daffodils, I decided to stretch myself with my Copic colouring learning (I always try to run before I can walk) by chosing to have a white jug with a little blue stripe for my card. I cut out my chosen label shape and matting layer with my Craftrobo, the bottom left one turned on it’s side, I stuck them together then popped in some eyelets to thread my ribbon through. I did some more hand stitching on my base layers which I am really enjoying doing and love the effect of! I couldn’t decide whether to go for blues and whites to compliment the jug or to amp up the zing-y-ness of the yellow daffs so I included both ideas.

Ric Rac Flower Card + 3 Cut Files – First Posted: Friday, April 01, 2011

Hiyah,

I’ve been getting alot of questions regarding my cut files, they are designed for using with digital cutting machines and not for cutting by hand (scissors/craft knife). I use a CraftRobo(Silhouette) and therefore use GSD files, I’m not sure what file types the other cutting machines use or what additional software is required, I just try to help out as best I can by supplying the file formats that have been requested. I’m hope this helps with any confusion.

I got a great deal on some ric rac on ebay and remembered seeing these cute little ric rac flowers somewhere on the internet and after a bit of playing around I sussed them out, all you need to do is stitch along one side of the ric rac (the bumps along one side) and gather it up. I love how the yellow one turned out, it looks just like a Marigold, I even found the perfect tiny button to pop in the middle. I cut the grass out of some patterned paper then cut free hand some stems and leaves from the same paper and edged with some gel pen. I embossed my little clouds with a dot embossing folder and mounted my little scene on a label shape from my new set.

flowers, flowers, everywhere… – First Posted: Thursday, March 24, 2011

Hey Guys!

First of all, thank you so so much for all of your kind comments and messages, they were so lovely and meant alot to me! I haven’t posted for a few weeks now as I thought I’d take a little break. Basically, after my last post I made a version of todays card that I wasn’t happy with at all so I left it for a week or so then came back to it, I took it apart completely to start it again and I’m actually quite happy with it now. I’ve spent some of my time out just looking around some forums and blogs and gathering some fresh inspiration from other type of crafts too and now I feel much more motivated. Oh also, I’ve decided that I’m definitely going to join a craft club as soon as I find one nearby, I need to give my fella a break and waffle to someone else about craft stuff I reckon.

I made a basket of tulips digi for todays card and used some flower cut files on both the card and gift tag, I hope you like them and they’ll be useful additions for your crafting stash.

Card: I coloured my image with copics then die cut with an oval nestie and attached punched circles from different patterned papers behind the oval to create an interresting scallop. I embossed my top layer of patterned paper and did some hand stitching on my card for the first time ever, me like-y!

Tag: I cut 2 of the same flowers, one slightly smaller than the other and layered them, popped them onto a circle and attached more of the punched circles behind. I did some faux stitching on the tag by pricking some evenly spaced holes onto my paper and drawing some lines down the holes with a white gel pen.
