3 gift box card – updated! – First Posted: Thursday, May 12, 2011

Good Afternoon,

I hope you are having a good day, I sure am! I’ve had a few stressful weeks recently but I’ve come out of the other side and now all is well in the Bird-house.  I’m hoping to have some more free time for crafting now too but famous last words, eh? he he

So what do I have for you today? Well it’s an update of one of my favourite cards which I posted over a year ago now, the 3 gift box/parcel card. It was a bit of a sketchy template so I’ve redone it as a cut file, the files include the shaped card and all of the front panels and even the little tags so all you need to remember is to add some ribbon. It looks quite effective when it’s put together and It’s one of the cards I feel most confident that the recipient will like whenever I send one, It’s a great card for using up some paper scraps too!

Mothers day card + sentiment – First Posted: Sunday, May 01, 2011

Hi Guys,

This is the mothers day card I sent this year, I experimented with using a dark coloured cotton for my stitching to contrast with the pale Laura Ashley paper but I feel it was a little heavy, you gotta try these things to find out though, right? The label is the same one I used here on my daffodil card and I love the way they look different depending on how you size or position them, for this card I kept the label quite small, however, for my daffodil card I made it much larger to fill most of the card and turned it on its side.

Happy mothers day

I’ve had a couple of questions about the sausages I made, I made over a hundred of them in 4 different flavours: Pork & Apple, Pork & Leek, Pork & Herb, Paprika & Garlic. The reason I wanted to make my own sausages is that I could make them with a good cut of meat (pork leg) and I could make them low fat too.

Easter Egg-y-ness – First Posted: Thursday, April 21, 2011

Hiyah!

It was my birthday recently and I was lucky enough to receive a mincer/sausage maker from my parents so I have been joyfully filling up my freezer with various flavours of yummy homemade sausages this week. You know how it is when you get carried away with something? Well I thought I should pop on here and share some Easter projects before it has been and gone!

I don’t tend to send Easter cards but I have a tag to share with you today although the image can just as easily be used on cards or scrapbook pages etc. Continuing with my ‘running before I can walk’ tendancies, I attempted to create a gold coloured bow on my egg with copics.
