A Sweet Birthday

Good Morning!

I have another cupcake circle sentiment digi for you today, I promise it will be the last for a while, I will move on to other things now lol. I’ve joined in with the Mojo Monday sketch this week which gave me the perfect excuse to make a few cut files, like I need one right? So I have a couple of scalloped circles for you which match some of my scalloped borders and 2 sets of pennant flag shapes just in time for the holiday season, I already have ideas for Halloween and Christmas bunting. I hope you like them and you’ll have fun using them too :)

I cut my scalloped circle first then measured the middle to determine what size to print my circle sentiment. I printed it 3 times, one on cream cardstock, one on copic paper to colour the top of my cupcake and the last one on patterned paper to paper piece the cupcake liner. I used 3 different patterned papers as I’m participating in The Shabby Tea Rooms mix and match challenge, the green gingham paper is from my gingham pastel paper pack printed onto cream cardstock. I love the way I can get a softer and more vintage look by simply printing on cream paper rather than white paper, hmm maybe I’ll try with other colours of paper too :)

Hey Sweety!

Good Evening!

I have another cupcake for you today, this time with smooth icing so you can have a choice of which to use in your projects. I also have a new cutting file for you today containing 3 tag shapes, I’ve had these shapes in my mind for ages and keep meaning to do them and as soon as I had them done I cut several of them straight away for my stash so I can grab them easily as I can see myself wanting to use them quite often for gift tags, sentiment bases etc.

I progressed from sketch challenges to a colour scheme challenge for my project today, The Play Date Cafe set a colour scheme of Coral, Petal Pink and Antique Gold and I spent an absolute age trying to get my elements as close to the colour scheme as possible, I’m not sure we’re supposed to be quite so worried about being a shade or two out, lol.

I cut my tag to 5.5 inches tall, I embossed my backing paper with a stamp from American Crafts Majestic set and white embossing powder then backed with a scalloped border. I coloured the top of my cupcake with copics then added some clear glitter and paper pieced the liner. My sentiment was printed from my computer and trimmed with scissors and finally I added some more scallops and some silk ribbon.

You’re Sweet!

Hiyah!

I have a sweet freebie for you today, It’s a cupcake digi and matching circle sentiment. I hope you have as much fun using these in your projects as I have had making today’s card.

I was craving chocolate when I made this digi so when it came to colouring, it just had to be a chocolate cupcake with pink icing, if only I could eat it, lol. I trimmed my cupcake with scissors and popped it inside my circle sentiment which was cut out and embossed with circle nestabilities, both were given some dimension with 3D foam pads. The colour scheme of my card had to be dictated by the colour of my image so I just gave in and went with it!
