Halloweenies

Good Evening!

I have a petal card or envelope cutting file for you today and a few halloween-ey cutting files too, It’s the 1st of October today so it’s ok to start my halloween projects now I reckon.

The petal card/envelope has been in my template section for a long while but it’s time I converted some of them to cut files although I have been agonising over how to handle the score lines. I toyed with the idea of not including score lines in the cut files and just adding them in the black and white gif file (just like the ones below) for you to follow as I don’t know if all digital cutters can cut open paths but I have settled with adding a dash line, it cuts fine on my CraftRobo/Silhouette and I hope it won’t cause any major problems. If it does please let me know :)

It may seem like I keep taking breaks from my blog and although I do get busy with other things from time to time, I am often working on things here, it just takes me a while to get things ‘blog ready’ sometimes. The process from thinking up and drawing images then creating cut files or digis from those drawings to then making the projects and getting them up on my blog can be quite slow but I am often here beavering away :)

p.s. I’ve been trialing some spam filters and it may have left you unable to comment yesterday, it should be ok now…unless you are an evil spambot!! mwahahahahahaha

Wedding Cake Card

Hiyah!

I attended a wedding this weekend and this is the wedding cake card I made for the happy couple, would you like the cut file for it? yes? okie doke! :)

I went for an all white card as I didn’t know the colour scheme of the wedding. I cut the card base with some plain white card stock then cut the separate front panel in some lovely patterned paper by SEI, I wrapped some ribbon around the front panel before attaching to the card base to hide the ribbon edges. After attaching the paper swags I decided to add some little embroidery flowers and pearls for some dimension.

Digital Stamp Videos

Hiyah!

Before I start I want to thank you all for being so supportive, I have had such lovely comments and emails after my last post, some of which reinforce exactly why I have been doing what I have been doing here and have really re-lit the fire underneath me. So, Thankyou! You guys are awesome!!

I have to apologise in advance that I am about to subject you to hearing my Westcountry accent in some videos now, lol!

I plucked up the courage to do some digi stamp videos while actually speaking at an audible volume. They are quite short but each show a different aspect of how I use my digis: preparing to print, changing the colour and adding text. I get so many questions regarding how I change the colour of my digis which I used to do in Photoshop but I know not many people have it so I sussed out a way to do it in Microsoft Word and I do it like this all of the time now. I hope these are clear enough and easy to follow for you, enjoy!
