Christmas starts here!

Hello There!

Yup, I’m starting my Christmas-y projects today although it always does seem odd to break out the glitter and associated sparkly things this side of Halloween but I’m sure it will seem more appropriate the closer December gets. Now some of you mentioned a Christmas bendy card after I posted the Halloween bendy card in my last post, well, you’ve twisted my arm and I have made one for you today. There is a card base and you have the wording separate too if it is easier to add the glue/glitter to the sentiment and attach it to the card once it has dried.

I cut my card base from a shiny textured red card stock, I added glue and red glitter to the sentiment and let it dry. Once dry I cut a square of sparkly gold paper and lined the back panel then popped the tabs in from the back. These are such easy cards to put together but I love the 3D impact you get from them.

Halloween Bendy Card

Good Afternoon!

You can tell that Halloween is around the corner as there are loads of Halloween-y films around and I have been scaring myself silly over the last few nights with them. I get so scared watching them but I do love a good scary film at the same time, as long as I have a cushion or duvet to hide behind.

You may remember the Birthday Bendy Card and the Easter one I did too, well today I have a Halloween Bendy Card Cut File for you, it says Trick or Treat and has 2 little pumpkins at the top and bottom. I think these would look great around the house as decorations and someone (sorry I forgot who it was who suggested this) did give me the idea of using vellum behind the front panel and popping a battery tea light inside, how awesome is that idea?

I simply cut my card from black card and added a square of orange card to the inside of the back panel to help the lettering stand out. When you assemble the card remember to pop the tabs in from the back to get the proper semi circle shape.

Another Jigsaw cut file & template

Hi There!

I have a jigsaw with more pieces as promised, this time with 16 pieces for slightly older children and as with the 9 piece Jigsaw in my last post you have a cut file version with a printable template version if you fancy hand cutting it. I made another magnetic Jigsaw for my example but they would also be great made of card.

I printed my photograph onto my magnetic sheet then cut a practice jigsaw and laid my image face down in the same spot for perfect placement. I cut my jigsaw 3 times on double cut to ensure that the sheet had cut all of the way through as the magnetic sheets I have are thicker than card stock. I finished a couple of points with a craft knife that hadn’t cut right through and popped it straight onto my fridge :)
