Swirl Frames 1 & 2

Hi Guys!

Since I was last here we’ve had snow and it’s been decidedly chilly. There is a bottle of Mulled Wine that I didn’t open at Christmas and I’m wondering why I haven’t warmed that bad boy up…well, if it snows again tomorrow I know what I’ll be doing ;)

I have another set of swirly cut files for you today as you seem to be enjoying them, this time it’s a pair of frames. The first frame is a tad more delicate but the second frame makes me think of wrought iron, it’s a bit more heavier duty. Although they do have some blank squares in the middle you don’t have to use them as frames you can cover that area if you wish as I have on my card toady and it will look like a background panel.

I used frame 1 for my card today and mounted it using some 3d foam pads cut in half over some floral paper, it gives a garden trellis feel to the frame. I edged my sentiment panel with a couple of vellum roses made from the 5 petaled flower from Flowers 3 and some vellum leaves made using Branches 1, I chose colours which reflect the colour of the flowers in the paper behind the frame. I know it’s early to make a Mothers Day Card but it seemed like a Mothers Day kind of card, the sentiment can be found here.

Swirl Borders

Good Morning!

I have 2 swirl borders for you today to match each of the swirl sets I posted the other day, you can use the whole border as I have here or you can cut it larger than you need and use just a section from it. I think they’d look great along the edge of a scrapbook page or to decorate a bookmark.

I cut a panel of s.e.i. paper and stitched it to some white card then I wrapped some seam binding around the panel and tied a bow. I cut my borders so they would be a fraction short of my card base then cut some 3d foam pads into small pieces and used them to attach the borders down either side of the panel. I printed a sentiment and glued it behind a frame made from spellbinders dies and attached with more 3d foam pads then added a button to my bow.

Calla Lily – Digi Stamp version

Hi Guys!

SuZe left a comment on my Calla Lily post saying:

Lovely flower – shame I don’t have any use for cutting files. Would be interested if you decided to do a digi of it though – no hurry (I hope!).

I normally would have thought to get a digi version up at the same time as the cut file but I was so focused on getting the sympathy card up as soon as I could. Well, I have it for you today :) I Hope you like it SuZe (and everyone else).
