Rose Edge Card

Hello There!

I have the last of my Rose themed cards for you today, it’s a square card with a Rose Edge. I’m not sure what I’ll be moving onto next so if you have any suggestions, you never know, some of them might pop up in the future ;)

I cut my card base from some caramel card then applied a square of cream card to the inside of the card to emphasise the cut out roses. I cut a piece of patterned paper to fit down the left hand side of the card and layered onto more of the cream card then stitched the two together. I cut an opening with A Spellbinders Die then wrapped some seam binding at either end of the opening attaching it at the back of the panel. I measured the width of the opening and printed this sentiment on cream card to fit and adhered to the back of the panel, the last step was to attach the panel to the card base with 3d foam pads.

This is how the card looks when it’s closed…

Rose Stencil Card

Good Afternoon!

I have a Rose Stencil Card for you today, it is the Rose arrangement I used on my Mum’s Mothers Day Card but to make it more useful I have set it into a square card base so you can use it for anyone on any occasion :) If you don’t fancy the idea of a square card and would like just the stencil, I’ve added that in a separate file for you too.

I approached this card similarly to the Rose Frame Card in my last post, I cut the card base and front stencil layer from the same card and cut the window layer from some vellum and glued all three together, it does give a neat finish to the inside and the outside of the card. I printed my sentiment onto some more of the pink card then covered with a circle of vellum which diffused the words then added a ring of pink card to the edge to cover the glued areas. I popped an eyelet into my tag and tied it to my seam binding bow.

Rose Frame Card

Hi Guys!

I hope you’ve had a great Easter weekend, we took advantage of the long weekend to get some flat pack built and do some more unpacking so it’s been good :)

For today’s freebie I took the Rose Frame from my last post and set it into a card base, you can just cut the card base as it is or you can chose to add the front panel and some vellum for a stained glass effect. To make it a little easier I have included a layer for you to cut in vellum or card which is ever so slightly smaller than the front panel so it shouldn’t show at the edges.

To me this design lends itself to a wedding card so that’s what I’ve gone for today, I cut the card base and front layer in some cream card at 5.75 inches high so it will fit into a 6 inch envelope comfortably. I cut the backing layer from some plain vellum and attached to the back of the front panel with a small amount of wet glue before attaching them to the front of the card with a little more wet glue. I measured the circle in the middle of my frame and printed a sentiment to sit just inside on some more of the cream card, I cut the sentiment with spellbinders dies and attached to the inside of the card. I finished my card with some flat backed pearls for an extra wedding-y touch.
