3D Swirly Christmas Tree

Hiyah!

Today I’ve made an easy Christmas Centerpiece using a few of my existing Free SVGs, it consists of a 3D Swirly Christmas Tree and some little present boxes beneath. The files I’ve used in this project have now been moved from my blog archives over to the store in bundles, you can find the links below.

To make my 3D Tree, I wanted to make the best use of my 12″ x 12″ sheets of cream cardstock so I managed to place 2 trees of 11.5″ tall on each sheet (by flipping one upside down). I cut 6 sheets, giving me 12 trees in all. I scored down the middle of each tree and folded them in half then glued my trees together side by side to form a circle.

To make my presents, I used both box files as I didn’t want my presents to look too uniform. I chose some 8″ x 8″ patterned papers which co-ordinated with my tree and cut my boxes out at approx 7.5″. After I assembled my boxes, I added some cream organza and satin ribbon to make them look like little presents.

Happy Holidays!

Good Evening!

I’m popping in with a freebie, it’s the last of my sentiment edge Christmas cards. Today’s card says Happy Holidays and the front panel has a Winter Scene.

Remember all of the front panels on my Christmas edge cards mix and match so you can use the sentiment of your choice with the panel design of your choice.

A Purrfect Christmas

Hiyah!

I enjoy finding new uses for any item in my crafty stash and this is especially true of cut files, so, whenever I think of a new or different way to use elements from my collections I will share them with you too :)

I’m sharing a card I made today using one element in the Let it Snow card from this collection, the snowflake circle on layer 4, as a frame around a photograph. Originally this element was part of a hexagon shaped card but it can work great on a square or circle shaped card too.

As my photo was of Lilly, my Cat, I couldn’t help using a Cat pun in my sentiment and I happen to know that several of you are Cat lovers too so I’ve popped the sentiment in the store for you in case you’d like it :)
