Rolled Flower 3 (Rolled Roses)

Good Evening!

I have another addition to my rolled flowers, this time it’s a rolled rose, cool huh? You may have noticed that the petal shapes match my ‘flat’ flower shapes that’s because they are the very petals I used to make my rolled flowers so you can chose whether to make your 3D flowers from my individual flower shapes or from the rolled ones, the outcome will be fairly similar but if you ask me the rolled ones are easier and quicker :) This is my last rolled flower for a while, I picked 3 to create and share to give you the most variation ’til I make more. I do have my next cut file ready to go which I am excited about and can’t wait to play with so keep your eyes peeled for that ;)

My followed the Mojo Monday sketch for my layout combined with The Shabby Tea Room’s colour scheme. I decided to make a tag today so I started by die cutting my circles and scalloped circles from patterned paper and some embossed card, I added a die cut border and some ribbon over the joint and popped in an eyelet and some seam binding. I printed my sentiment onto some white card and cut with a Spellbinders label die and added some drops of pearlescent glue. I gave my rolled flower petals some shape with an embossing stylus and a soft stamping pad then rolled up and popped on top of some hand cut leaves.

Rolled Flower 2

Hiyah!

I have another rolled flower cut file for you today, I promised some more of them :). I went with a daisy style this time and kept the outer petals larger than the ones in the middle but it’s more of a subtle graduation this time, it looked more natural when it was finished. I know it’s a while til Mothers Day but I have a Mothering Sunday sentiment for you too today.

I was feeling brave when I made this card, can you tell by the colour scheme? I just love this paper (GCD – Chic Bebe) but its no shrinking violet so I just had to go with it, I pulled all manner of apple green items from my stash then played around til I was happy.

I stitched my paper onto white card, straight edges look naked to me now without stitching on them;) I printed my sentiment onto textured card and cut with Labels Eighteen and layered on top of Labels Five with a few pearls. My Lace came gathered so I gathered my ribbon to match and nestled my leaves from Branches 1 and rolled flowers between the ribbon and the labels.

Here is a close up of my flowers, I curled the outer petals outwards then popped a pearl in the middle of each flower and curled the petals around the pearl inwards slightly.

New…Rolled Flower

Hey Guys!

I have a couple of cut files for you today, a rolled flower and the scalloped card base then thought why not add the digi sentiment too. Rolled flowers have been on my list for a while now and had to give myself a kick up the bum to finally gave it a go, it was a bit fiddly and time consuming but I’m glad I have one done and I have a few more planned which should be a lot quicker too. I needed a scalloped card to follow this weeks sketch at Card Patterns, I would normally use a Spellbinders die but I wanted this bad boy to be approx 6 inches square so I made a scalloped card base cut file. The card base has a looped edge but you can just remove those insert cuts to get a solid scalloped card as I have here.

The flowers have alot of dimension, to bring some more depth to the card, I ruffled some half inch satin ribbon and popped my sentiment frame up onto 3D foam pads. My final touch was to add some pearls to the middle of my flowers. I enjoyed making this card even though the dimension of it took me well out of my comfort zone, I hope you will have fun using these cut files too :)
