Christmas Cut Out Stepper Card

Good Afternoon!

I have a Winter Woodland Stepper card for you today, it has cut out sections which really add to the height of the card. There are quite a few elements to the cut file but it is easy to tell where everything goes, the only thing to remember is to attach the larger snowbanks first before the trees or house, you can always take a look at any of the pictures below for reference.

I wanted to give my Zing a large cut test and cut the largest card stock size I own, which is A3, so I sized my card to 16 inches long and it cut great. I was going to use acetate for my window panes but placed some black card stock behind the windows and added some 3d glaze instead to give a glassy effect. I let the glaze dry overnight and sadly it didn’t dry completely flat but it does catch the light more this way ;)

Double Snow

Hello!

I know that most of you have completed your Christmas Cards but I couldn’t post this one until my parents received it, I didn’t want to risk a spoiler :) I do have one more Winter card all ready to go for my next post but that will probably be the end of it, at worst you’ll have a couple of cut files ready for next year.

Today’s cut files are a Snowglobe card which could look really cute with one of these little houses inside but I’ve mounted a Snowman inside my Snowglobe Shaker Card, he is your second freebie today :) Oh by the way, there aren’t MTC files today, this was the last project I made with my old machine.

To make my shaker card I cut the card layers then attached some acetate behind the window layer and stuck down a circle of 3D foam pads to hold my holographic flakes inside. The 3d layer can also be made by cutting a ring of fun foam with a couple of circle dies. I hand cut some snow banks and sandwiched the snowman between the two of them before attaching to the inside of my snowglobe. Of course you don’t have to make a shaker card with the snowglobe cut file, a flat version would be quicker to put together but mine was a special card.

Christmas Door & new MTC format

Hey :)

I will be supplying 7 cut file formats from now on as I am starting to add the MTC format from today onwards in the my cut file bundles for those of you who use Make The Cut. Previous files will remain as they are as the SVGs from those can be used in Make The Cut.

I am enjoying using my new Zing, I used to have trouble cutting heavier weight card bases but I cut today’s card base with the standard blade so I’m looking forward to seeing what the thick material blade can do. I’m taking baby steps for now though, one day I will be brave enough to try print and cut :)

I cut my card base and front panel out of some bronze shimmer card and sandwiched some acetate between the 2 layers to produce the window panes. I cut my wreath from some green card and the bow from some glitter card then added some pearls which I coloured with a Copic marker.
