Jelly Baby Card

Hiyah!

I must apologise for the gaps between my posts of late, it is a Birthday heavy time of year in my family so I am very busy making cards but I can’t post them just yet as it will spoil the surprise for the recipient but rest assured I am busy working away here in the Birdhouse and the frequency of my posts should start picking back up :)

I needed to make a card for one of my Family members Birthdays recently who is partial to the odd Jelly Baby so I’m sharing the Jelly Baby card I made for them with you today. It is a super quick and easy card with just 2 layers, I’m experimenting with adding extra lines for detail which could speed up not only the design process but also the assembly of the card itself.

Lacey Heart

Hiyah!

Today I have a Lace/Lattice heart for your Valentine’s projects.

Just for fun I cut a few Hearts and strung them into a banner but I think it does work, I reckon you could use these to decorate a baby shower or engagement party etc as well as on the front of a card or on a scrapbook page.

Lattice Heart Card with Banner

Good Evening!

I have another simple and less-feminine Valentine’s Day Card for you today and I’ve included the ‘Be Mine’ banner for you too. If you would like your banner to say something different simply change the text using any stencil font you may have on your computer, you can find the one I used for free here: stencilia-font

I sized my card to 11.5 inches wide which gives me a 5.75 inch card once it is folded. I picked a piece of card with a white core but if I were to do it again I would definitely go with a solid core piece as every single edge showed up, I make these mistakes so you don’t have to, lol! I cut my banner from some white card then cut a scrap of red from the card base and glued it behind the letters, I think it would look good to add a different colour there too. My last step was to add a liner, I folded some lightweight card then trimmed it to fit just inside the edges of my card then added one line of tape beside the crease to hold it in place.
