Snow Globe Digis

Hello There!

I hope your Christmas preparations are coming along nicely and you’ll be ready in plenty of time. Our tree and decorations are up and I sorted the last couple of presents last night so I think I’m pretty much on track now. I’ll start the present wrapping tomorrow while watching some cheesy Christmas films, I love them really :)

So, what’s today’s freebie? I have a couple of Snow Globe Digi Stamps for you, one has a Christmas-y Snow Scene, one has  Snowman inside and there’s also a plain one that you can stamp your own image inside.

I printed the snow scene globe onto some white neenah card, I die cut it then coloured it with some copic markers. Once the copics had a while to fully dry I added some black glaze pen to the windows to add some shine then used a white glaze pen to add some falling snow. As this is a small card which will hold a gift card (held inside with a glue dot) I kept the front quite simple by adding some patterned paper and a little twine.

Holly Pennant

Hi Guys!

I’ve been a little absent as I’ve caught the lurgy but at least I’m getting it out of the way before Christmas! ;) I have a few more Christmas projects planned and hopefully I’ll be able to fit them in before the big day.

So, I have a holly pennant for you today, it comes with a backing layer although I chose not to use it for my example below. I cut my pennants out of some green mirror card, I threaded them with some narrow gold tinsel then added some gold ribbon bows and my favourite Christmas embellishment…jingle bells :)

Holly Background

Good Evening!

I have another background design for your Christmas crafting, this time it’s a Holly background. There are 2 layers, the front outline which can be used on its own or with the backing layer. The backing layer fills in the Holly leaves with green card or vellum, however it also fills in the berry areas so it’s the perfect excuse to break out some red embellishments :)

I cut my Holly backgrounds at 5.75 inches to layer perfectly onto my 6 inch card, I used textured card for my front layer and vellum for the back layer. I added some spots of wet glue then stuck the 2 layers together, as I used vellum I placed 3d foam pads behind the berry areas to hide them and adhered my panel to my card. I coloured some 6mm pearls with a red Copic marker and added them to my background avoiding the area that my sentiment was covering, well, why waste pearls? ;) I used this font for my pun sentiment and cut a banner shape for it to sit on, I wrapped a piece of twine around the banner before adding it to my card with more 3d foam pads. This was an easy card to put together but I think it looks really fun and festive!

Happy Hollydays
